Our guests continue to find nuggets metal detecting. High banking a favorite package has been profitable for our guests. We have (2) four person cabins & (3) cabins that sleep two , we also have several private rooms available. The large cabins have a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot and a small sink. We have shower & laundry facilities at no cost to our guests.. Our Great Room will be open in 2016 . We will help you custom tailor a memorable Alaskan vacation. In addition to the excellent gold prospecting opportunities for visitors, Akau provides visitors an array of opportunities to explore the Alaska tundra within 100 miles of the Arctic Circle. We also provide fishing gear for our guests.
Akau is an Eco friendly resort, primarily focusing on protecting the natural environment. We believe any development must be subjected to limits, thus we limit our guests to no more than 25 guests per week.
