AKAU had the great pleasure of hosting the Roadrunner Prospectors Club from Phoenix, Arizona for the last two weeks. RRPC is the second-largest prospecting club in the nation with 100% member-owned claims totaling 260 claims and 5,500 acres. The RRPC members enjoyed high banking, crab and steak night, and a trip to Teller to hunt for beach glass. Several members found their first gold nuggets with metal detectors during their visit to AKAU while prospecting Snowflake, while others capped off the trip with an ATV ride up Sledge Creek to do some stream sluicing and have a hot dog roast.
